i'll ask the guy with the truck how big the bed is. this is not really a weight issue but a volume question. he wants $50-$60 to haul it 30 miles. I thought the price was fine but at the time i didn't think to ask about the volume of the dump bed. i'll also ask him about raising the sides to get more volume. it'll cost me probably $20 to get someone to load him so if i can get 3 or 4 times as much as i could in my pickup it would be worth it to me. 60 miles in my pickup is around $14 in gas. do that 3 or 4 times and you're close to even and saving the time it would take driving back and forth.
The other fellas already gave you the "goods" on the load. I am surprised though that you would have to "pay" to get loaded. Around here they'll usually load you just to get rid of it, but you may have to schedule the timing when some one is free, such as at a dairy.
