Rolled off a high trailer or driven off a cliff or loading dock?
It did not roll over...

I have head that when operating backhoes on tractors the operator should not raise the rear wheels off the ground with the stabilizers. The stabiliziers should just be deployed enough to stop the lateral movement.

Raising the wheels off of the ground can put excess strain on the tractor frame. On some of these tractors the frame is not continuous from front to rear. Just my thoughts.

A break @ the bell housing is not uncommom as you might think. It could have been stuck and pulled into by another tractor. Thats how most that I have heard of breaking have happened.

I suspect rolled off a trailer or ledge with substantial vertical shock on the bellhousing. I really doubt the backhoe or tractor hydraulics could have generated the force even in a bind to compromise the bellhousing such as that.

Thats the thing about these new flat decked tractors. There really isn't a bell housing. Look at the pictures. There is just something like a steel torsion box under the deck that a small drive shaft runs through to the transmission box under the seat. It is not built like the old cast iron tractors where the drive line was the frame. That said, I think the new style frames are stronger for the weight and more functional. Only down side is they aren't as heavy. So, in this case, the.deck frame was pulled apart from the rear of the.tractor. I just wonder what that strange green stuff was on the engine parts.

I suspect this is the correct answer...
