Yes, that's true - a steel trailer is fully galvanized; and that 300 ha lake is a freshwater one.
Concerning the outfit, thank you, but I'm in a phase of changes. When you're going from one class of tractor into another (compact ---> mid class), you need to change many things, not only a tractor - attachments, trailer, approach, habits... Most important point is a budget potential. Seems it's not as easy process as I thought it'll be.
Well, I'm now about to finalize that phase. One of the last things I need is a new trailer. And the dozer blade in the future, what is complicated in my case...

Okay, here's mine. I pulled the new trailer to my dad's place to build them, since he has a radial arm saw, which speeds up the parts cutting process greatly over using a skill-saw. Just finished them today. My prime prerequisite was to keep every section under 6.5 ft so they could fit in my pickup bed if needed. As soon as the last piece was in place, I pulled it over to the wood pile and filled it with firewood for the trek home.

I am curious..... why would so many use a car trailer to haul wood ? After the first load / unload by hand I would be building the dump platform in my head. I am in the finishing process of building a 14k 12' dump trailer. I don't haul firewood but fill, rocks, brush and equipment. It is so easy to unload with the press of a button. I have flat trailers if the object is wider than 6'6".

Not everyone can afford to have a dump trailer and a car hauler or have the space for both. Id rather have the car hauler. You can't haul many things in a dump trailer.

Well, I have an old tandem boat trailer that I've converted to a flatbed. Its rated at 7 ton, licensed for 5 and normally weighs 3 loaded with my tractor.
I have a 4-5' diameter round underground tank that I have cut lengthwise then cut one end out of each half so they will nest at a variable length. I'm thinking that if I build a frame with a cylinder on each side, maybe I can use my forks to set it on the trailer, chain it down and have a "sometimes" dump trailer. The same idea that they use for the salt spreaders that fit into a pick-up box....

In my case, as far as unloading, I split my wood when I get home. Whether by hand or tractor splitter, it's easier to work off the trailer than off the ground when splitting. Sure, a dump trailer would be nice at times, but over all, very impractical for me! ~~ grnspot
