And the reason why the dealers don't loan tractors !!
So the dealer brought a prospective buyer out to look at the 6405 a few weeks ago and it looks like he wants it. So I'm going to clean it up and deliver it back to the dealer tomorrow and pick up a different loaner from his lot.

Here's a pic from just before I unloaded it last month. It's maybe a tad heavy for my trailer... :D

In keeping with the title of this thread, here's my 4700 that I had for 11 years and 1200 hours and never had any issues with to speak of. Sold it last month to a lucky new owner in NC. The picture below is from last month showing the condition of the 11 year old tractor.

That was a nice 4700, but I'm sure it would go back to it after having that 6000 series! Do you know what you're getting next? Bet the wait for the 5085M is killing ya:D

Yeah, the wait is killing me! He has a 5520 2wd w/ loader on the lot that I'll likely get, or a New Holland 4835 4wd w/ loader. I guess I'll decide tomorrow when I get there.

That's a nice looking 655!

I'm glad to see you have the roll bar still on it. My father was killed last year on his Ford 1910 when it flipped with the roll bar removed. It was removed because it would not fit in his garage otherwise.

man! very sorry to hear that.:(

I did have a few questions though if you don't mind. What year is your 3500 HD? looks about an 01-02. have you had it since new?

oh, and as for which tractor you should pick at the dealer, get the 5520...then take pics and put it in this thread:thumbsup:

Sorry to hear indeed. Always got to read those safety labels.

Thanks. Yeah, it was a very unexpected loss. I was the first person on the scene before the rescue squad arrived. It was not a pleasant scene at all. My father was 78 and in perfect health. Rode his bicycle daily, played tennis twice a week, he even wore ear plugs and safety glasses at the time of the accident. He was bush hogging a field with a mild slope and there was what I thought to be a minor stump, which I guess is what caused the rollover. Still seems very odd to me to this day, but unexpected events happen all the time I suppose that don't necessarily have a logical explanation.

It's a 02. And yes, I'm the original owner. Has just over 110k on it, so the duramax is just getting broken in. Did have the fuel injector issue with it, so they were all replaced under that campaign. Dumped a lot of diesel fuel in the crank case. But fortunately, it has been running perfectly for the last 50k since the recall was performed.

That's my plan. This time of year an open station tractor is very nice, especially for backhoe work. I'll post pics for sure! :)
