JD 3005, Kubota B2710, Kubota B2650 (sold the ford 1700 and kubota B7100)
Took the flimsy legs off my 3 point log splitter and replaced them with wooden skids. Works great. Easy to load into the back of the PU with the FEL. Roll it around the shop on moving dollies. Don't have to lift the wood rounds so high. I think they ought to make them this way. The blue plastic tarp is nice accesory in our cold wet spring here in the Pacific NW.

Looks like a good idea. Spindley legs are not good. What splitter is that you have there??

Yeah, the legs on my SpeeCo sucked too. Probably the same splitter. But I can't bend over like you. The height the legs provided is good, so I simply had some horizontal braces welded between the legs. Nice and solid now, and no sore back

My back hurts with the lifting rather than the leaning so this works out for me. I sometimes sit on a bucket anyway.
