Buying Advice need advice for new kubota

Yeah, I'm a Kubota guy, but I'm betting the JD is a pretty sweet setup also. I've also wondered how the decks connect. They call it auto connect or something like that. I can take off or reconnect my mower deck in less than 15 minutes, its not even difficult, just awkward at times. It would be nice just to drive over a deck and have it all hook up automattically, but I'm wondering how well it works. I'd love to see a demo.

Wrooster love the pics of your tractor but the walk behind snowblower pics kill me. Why don't you have a rear mounted snowblower and let the tractor do the work?

How is 20HP not equal to 20HP?

How much more torque will a 20HP diesel engine produce over a 20HP gas engine?

ps:
Please keep in mind the OP is considering a BX-series tractor. This is a clue. ;)

20HP equals 20 HP, gas or deisel, BUT!

Torque rise. Gas Motor will have relatively steeply rising peaky torque curve that peaks maybe 2/3 of max Motor RPM.

Desiel generally has amazing off idle torque. When a desiel is loaded it fights bogging down and will not tend to stall like a gas motor. Bog down a desiel and it still fights to make close to 20 HP. as gas motor just quits and stalls.

Properly geared and running at peak hp a gas motor and desiel of equal power will pull a trailer up a hill at the same speed. As soon as the load pushes the motor off peak, the gas motor stalls, the deseil still has torque reserve that the gas motor only dreams of.

Thermal effeciency of desiel puts gas motor to shame and there is aboult 20% more energy in a gallon of desiel than gas to start with. Chug Chug!

Because it would slow things down, that is why. :)

Seriously, the problem in my case is that the way my (very old) house sits on the lot -- due to the fact that the house was built decades before the road was put in -- means that the detached garage is "in the way" of getting to the house. And this is turn means I have a long walkway to clear -- in fact, long two walkways to clear.

So, if I sell the walk-behind to offset the cost of getting a blower for the tractor, I'm left with doing the walks by hand and honestly that stinks. If I keep the walk-behind AND get a blower for the tractor, it is just tied up money with utility a couple of times a year.
