Very nice!!

I really like how they do the 3rd function kit! Can hardly notice it's there.

I also really like the choice on the SSQA!

Only thing I don't understand is why they left the loader hydraulics so exposed. Seems like one accident and a messy repair, but they probably know better than I.

Congrats on the machine!

Hi Martian,

Actually, I had asked my dealer a long time ago if I was getting the hydraulic single-point connection with the H260. He told me that I was. I haven't gotten to talk with him about it yet, but I am wishing that he might return my call tomorrow. In case you haven't seen it, here is a picture of the hydraulic single-point connection. I think it looks pretty slick.

I think if all goes well we will have a whole slew of pictures to look at next week; with my implements, and Edward S. and Martian's tractors all arriving. I wish they will all be arriving. I think with John Deere, patience is pretty important.

That single port connection looks like a great tool! Those valves can be a pain by themselves. Looks like a worthy addition to me!

 I wish! Mine has come! I'd grab a link but I'm on the phone. All these Ms is making the 5410 sad though;)

I bit the bullet and added a multiCoupler to my 6415. I see Deere has change them since the 640 loader. They turned it 90 degrees, that tucks it in a little closer. They also made it wider so it can accomdate an electrical connection for the option power operated Global Carrier. Also in your picture note they installed a ball valve on the blue (marked) hose (loader boom head end or lift hose). If you don't need the electrical coupler/connection the older version might be the way to go, still has 3 function capability.

At least they moved the couplers from under the steps, that would be a real pain.

I still have two quick coupler on the bucket end of the third function lines. I have not justified the one function multicoupler for it yet ;)

Pictures are the bracket I made for the MultiCoupler, then the multicoupler test mounted. I was waiting for JIC to ORFS adapters. My hoses are JIC, MultiCoupler is ORFS. Last picture is with hoses attached. I also straightened the handle for less "out hang" Never considered turning it 90 degrees, I just mounted it as JD did back then. I may experimant with a new bracket and see if it gains any more clearance (less "out hang")

Very nice install, Zebrafive. What's the ball valve for..?

I'm not sure I'd really "kick" too much on the hose configuration for Island Farmer's loader. I like the elevated location (under the cab and steps is a major PITA). Granted it is a bit more effort to connect/disconnect -- but, what's another 5 minutes, really?

When the choice was/is the behind the step configuration or a single point connection... that's an easier decision to make!

The single point connection block is vunerable on my 5075 - it sticks out - a fair bit. So, I'm not so sure that the configuration on Island Farmer's tractor is any worse than mine. Check out the lever - it'll catch your coat or shirt if your not payin' attention!

Have you trimmed the excess off those color coded zip ties yet? :D

I saw JD was putting the ball valve on the "H" series loaders. If I was not changing the couplers I would not have bothered. My use will be if I want to hang something from the loader to work on with the tractor shut off. I figured if the JD lawyers allowed it must be OK. I would NEVER work under the loader, if it's in the way I'd take it off. I have not tried it yet, but thinking I could hang a deer overnight and not find bucket on the ground the next day.

My guess is that mid valve is also used on tractors without the right hand step. Or if ordered without a loader the couplers are there.

I really did not like how far the lever stuck out. It was easy to remove and straighten with a hydraulic press. The bracket was over $40 from Deere, so I made my own. I copied JD's placement and made sure the square loader pin could be removed (clearance for the retainer to swing and clearance for the square pin to go in the storage position. If I were to build the bracket again, I would explore turning it 90 degrees. It looks like the lever would be easier to operate if I turned the multicoupler 90 degrees. hmm ;) wheels are turning now :D

I know it was not directed at me, but I trimmed all the colored ties. I really like the colored discs they are now using on the multicoupler.

I am surprised the third function lines are hard lines. Everything else is hoses.
