I've had the rimguard in the tires for at least 2 years, probably closer to 3 years without a problem. I'm betting I lost a little tire pressure over the winter and that made the problem worse. It really only spins in the rim under ideal conditions, stopped on a hill and good traction.

If you are losing air, liquid should leak out also. Any wet spots on the rim/tire/floor?

My brother has a BX2200 with rimguard, his did the same coming up a hill. He had it pulled to the house and found low tire pressure. He inflated the tire, problem solved. Mine did the same a few years ago with antifreeze and water mix, added air and fixed it. I have since switched to rimguard and haven't had a problem, just keep air in tires.

The max air pressure is 20 psi. I run about 25 in mine and have never had this problem

So OP, what was your final fix? Just pressure up or did you have to be more creative?

We finally had some nice weather and I checked the tires today. I could not clear the valve stems of rim guard, so I never could check the pressure, but it was very low, I'd guess less than 5 pounds. I aired them up, and it was back to normal, it would climb hills fine. Tha thanks for all the responses.

If anybody has followed my other thread, I figured out why my BX is having problems going up a hill. This is my other thread, but I thought I'd start a new one. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/240157-bx-wont-pull-hill.html

In the other thread, someone suggested I pull up to a tree and in 4 low, it should spin the tires. I did this once, everything spun. I backed up and did it again, and only the fronts spun. So I put it in just two wheel low, and same thing, the rears are not spinning. The funny thing is, I can hear the engine digging in and a little bit of HST whine. I'm thinking broken axle or something. So I do it again and lean way out and look at the rear wheel. Well the problem is the rim is spinning inside the wheel. I spent something like $116 at the dealer, to have them tell me nothing was wrong. The drove it up and down some hills and never had a problem. I can't really fault them for not finding this problem.

So does anybody have any ideas on how to make this stop? I thought I would raise the rear tire pressure a little. I know this is a problem on drag cars, where the run low tire pressure and get great traction. On them, they bolt the tires to the rim. I'm don't think this would work on my BX. I also have rimguard in the rims, if this makes any difference. I thought it might make the rims a little slippery?
Thats the second time Iv heard this story with Rimguard in a tubeless tire. Confirmed:thumbsup:

Sounds like new valve stems are in order. I have to do the same with my wheelchair because I keep slime in them and it always clogs the valve stems up.

I didn't chose my words very well. They weren't clogged up, I just couldn't get rimguard to stop squirting out of the valve stem. I didn't want rimguard getting into my pressure gauge so I just put air into them until it looked about right.

Did you have the valve stems at 12 o'clock and push just a little air from the hose thru them and then depress the valve stem to see if air comes out or "goo"? If rimguard still comes out, then I would think that the tires might be a little overfilled with Rimguard.
