I bought the I3040H - previous version of the R3039. Dealer went under and another even closer picked up the line. Had an issue with the loader valve. 2nd dealer took care of it. I have no concerns with LS. Ofcourse I seldom trade things till they are worn completely out!! So resell or trade-in value does not come into play with me.

Matter of fact... I did! Wish the dealer was closer he is about 2.5 hours away.
Right now I am more into... did I really need it? mood! I am sure that feeling will quickly disapear after the first project is done!
Dealer wanted to deliver it on Wed. but I am going to wait till Friday because I need to build an overhang so I can park it out of the sun.

Got off the phone with a John Deere dealer.
22k for a similar tractor with out some of the options that come with the LS.
I informed him of my purhcase price on the LS. His response:
"yeah... you get what you pay for.. with those... "

I guess he is right

Because I get:
Dual remotes
a 5 yr warranty (2 year bumper to bumper)
Premium spring adjustable seat.
Front End loader
Box Blade
Foam filled tires
Canopy
Rear Work light
about 1.5 more hp
about 2 more hp @ pto
CUP HOLDER!
Industrial size tires
Quick attatch bucket
and made in the USA
I could go on.. and on...

I really do hope the LS stays around. I think the market is there for quality at a very affordable price. IF anything else John deere,Kubota, Mahindra owners should welcome more comptetition so the Big 3 will be forced to lower their prices.

Now as far as re-sell value goes.. JD, Kubota etc will probably always win since they have been around for so long.
I looked at used and was suprised to see an L3800? kubota with 1500 hours @ 14k.

RESALE does not allways = QUILITY. Some folks are just plain stuck on name brand. As far as I can see LS is a strong machine with a quility engine. I've owned the "oh so horrible" chinese jinma it was a work horse and ran great, had 900+ hard hrs on it when I let it go. Point being I've seen just as many issue's with "name brand" as others. Chances are the "name brand" is using some of the same parts as ______ ........ooooops did I let the cat out of the bag, sorry.

As long as YOU are happy with your purchase, thats what matters. It looks like your tractor is very similar to the NH 35, if LS does decide to exit NA.

Actually, the LS tractors are made in South Korea by LS Mtron, a unit of LS Cable. Things like tires, wheels, and batteries are added in the US which is called final assmebly by some manufacturers. I think the only compacts actually made in the US are most of the John Deere and the Kubota BX, but parts for them are actually sourced worldwide as well.
