I know. I really liked that also. Only hickup is that that the 3rd function switches use the joystick and they really need to be there.

I did not think about that. I do not have grapple, and the NH Boomers I have used did not either. Philip.

It was not a serious suggestion. Just a friendly joke intended to make you drop your guard so we (the Chevy Orange tractors) can dominate. ;)

I think you meant Hyundai Orange tractors! Philip.

 Home Depot doesn't stock that color yet so I'm stuck with Chevy Engine Orange for now! It is a near perfect match for Kioti orange and as I recall it's a bit redder than the Kubota/Toyota orange.

I own a 3940 my first tractor and really enjoy the hyd plus...do I need it no...am I on a budget no...I think its just like its advertised its a plus. I think you have to be the kind of person that instead of buying a mustang gt you buy the cobra. Because if you bought the gt you would kick yourself later. By the way I work on cars for a living...hyundai makes a great car just as good as a toyota or honda. Ok sorry after putting in the time to read all this post I had to put in my 2 cents

On my Case there's a button on the FEL lever that overrides the transmission and shifts into neutral. It's shuttle not HST. But it allows you to rev the motor up to speed up the fel. They also put the same button on the gear shift lever so you can shift gears without having to move the shuttle lever into neutral. For shuttle it's very handy.

I don't need, or want any of the fancy features currently available on tractors, or cars for that matter.. I'm a bit "old school," in that I just see it as more stuff to break and need fixing down the line.
But, I guess I'm a "Kool Aid drinker..." a moniker I frankly resent! I like Kubota, and will continue to buy Kubota because of a fine reputation built up over the long haul. I don't have the time left in life, or the financial resolve to try all the different "colors," so I put my resources where I feel it will do the most good. For me, that is Kubota. I had a great dealer.. Evans Equipment in Remsen, N.Y.. Greg Evans was very up-front about all the different makes of tractors, and he made a statement that stuck in my mind... "There are other tractors out there that are as good as Kubota, but none better." It made sense to me then, and it makes sense to me now.
There is a reason that there are different areas of the forum for the different brands of tractors. I don't care who likes, or chooses which... we're all different, and actually, I like ALL the brands, but, I DO resent a proponent of Kioti coming into the Kubota forum and disrespecting the brand, and those who have chosen it as being somehow less intelligent, and less savvy consumers. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and instead of the desired result of making me think of their chosen brand as worthy of consideration, pushes me the other way.
I've seen lots of guys in life incompetent in their chosen trade. The only way those guys could try to make themselves look good, was by trying to make someone else look bad. I see this behavior in the same light!

Just the ramblings of a confirmed Kubota "Kool Aid drinker..."

Me thinks you are off base here and grossly misinterpreted my comments. I wasn't arguing against Kubota at all. I was arguing, in a nutshell, that for a $xxxxxx dollar budget that you'd get more tractor work done for your money with a Kubota MX 4700 and some extra implements than with the equivalent Lxx40. Not arguing against Kubota just that the "Suburban SUV" is a better deal than the "Escalade" version.

The Koolaid reference targeted only the acceptance of Kubota marketing rather than critical review of other Kubota options. I've always wondered why the MX is not more popular among those owners on TBN.

Leave it to Island to stir up a load of "Shitake Mushrooms"

For the record, I wish my new Kioti had HST+ or what ever the heck Kioti will call it when they finally come out with it.:) The tractor is the equivalant of a Grand L except for the HST+, not saying I got to have it, but it would be an asset and a time saver.

I read the entire thread through. I graduated High school in 1967, but I don't think the English language has changed that much since them, and I WAS a pretty good reader, and my comprehension was good also.
I hope I was wrong in my assessment. The internet, while an excellent source of information for those willing to seperate good information from misinformation, and downright disinformation, still leaves much to be desired in how the written word is perceived. I'm not about to engage in a raging argument over what was said, it's up to each of us to interpret for ourselves.
I'm not a big fan of going to other brand forums and stirring the pot, so generally, if I don't have something nice to say, I just don't say anything at all... Something my parents taught me eons ago.

So, I guess I'll just keep readin', keep my comments to a minimum and keep on drinkin' that (Kubota) orange Kool Aid...

the niche where people need the heavy rear end is limited, at that price point you can buy a really deluxe and really nice to drive L3940 that will do 90% of the same work. Typically the bigger the tractor is the less we sell the basic models... at least in the North East, from what I understand the south is different.
