Steve , what have to rigged up for access to the seat
on this L series ?

I'm still toying with this one. It's a little more complicated since I have to be lifted up and back into where the seat is located. In my head I envision an i-beam attached to a steel plate so that it swivels. This steel plate is then mounted to the center of the ROPS under the canopy using u-bolts (so no welding to the ROPS is done, thus voiding the warranty and having the safety police screaming). A shop hoist run off the battery is then hung from the i-beam on a trolley. Once I'm lifted up, I grab the i-beam and slide myself back to the seat and lower myself down. Of course this is all "in theory" and has not actually been built or put to the test. I do not weld, nor do I claim to know the weight limits of steel or any other components, so my idea may not work, so I am open to ideas.
On my old tractor I used a game hoist that would slide into a 2" receiver hitch. It swiveled as well, so I would sit in a swing set sling and lift myself up, grab the steering wheel to spin around and then let it down into the seat. Worked ok, but when you can't feel your butt its sort of hard to know when your butt is actually in the sling. I turned upside down more than once because I wasn't on the sling seat just right.

Dang son! Don't do that to me! I just about broke my dang neck running out there to find that it was only a blade of grass sticking up!

It looks pretty sturdy from what I can tell. Looks to be 1" angle iron thats welded together and bolted to the ROPS. I forsee the bead around the edge of the canopy metal coming off with time and exposing a pretty nasty edge to cut my fingers on should I ever reach up there, but other than that I would say its a nice addition.
