Why does CO2 have to be "well-mixed" in order contribute to global warming?

From the NASA data in the article, there is only a 4% difference in concentration between the lowest levels around Antarctica and the highest levels in the Northern Hemisphere.

I was just doing some Googling and found out that we do have a single coal electrical power plant here in CA. By contrast, New York has 9 but a population of half that of CA. So I guess it means if we go on a state by state basis and then do the division like they did on the China/US comparison, New York sorta sucks at this. :thumbsup:

CO2 is not a factor in cooling or warming, so I am not concerned at all, the earth sits in the cold vacuum of space and will cool, unless the sun output increases temporarily before it cools too. Don't worry about what you can't change.

Currently Wind Power is not working and does so little it hardly even counts. The current crop of wind machines require almost constant maintenance and then barely 1/2 of them are producing. It has been reported that if all works well it takes 20 years to recover cost. Even if they are made in the US the steel comes from China.

Currently Solar is pretty much of a joke, it's producing even less power than Wind. Woo Pooy Doo they are also made in China. Yes I know there are some commercial plants based on mirrors and hot salt. They are in the experimental stage and 1 had to be shut down because of a Lizard.

The US gas enough coal to last about 1.000 years. Coal is and can be burned cleanly.
Enough (proven ) Natural gas for another 400.

Wind turbines do increase the air temp where they are located. More turbines higher temp.

In England it takes more energy to keep the turbines warm & operating than they produce.

Wind Turbines kill around 400 birds a year including many Bald Eagles. They are except from all fines or liabilities. No So for Oil Company's.

Durning times of higher CO2 levels the earth was cooler and during lower CO2 levels the earth was warmer. The two are not concurrent or dependent. There are really only two things that can heat or cool the earth and don't believe anything else. If the sun warms the earth warms if the earth and sun get closer the earth warms. Now you know it all.

How do we know the DEGREE of heating and cooling without a control condition? We can't, the only way you can prove your hypothesis is if you could observe what the climate would be without man's influence.


So if a hydrogen bomb goes off the heat from that doesn't affect the temperature of the earth? When you start your car in the morning does that change the temperature of the earth?
