Issue with loader on B2320

If the 3PT lever is stuck in the raise position it is calling for pressure and can hinder loader function. If it is in the middle(neutral) position or the down position it is not calling for pressure and should not affect loader control. The 3PH as I understand it is in the power beyond series circuit which by default is first come first serve. With position control you can choose where your implement will be and then put it in the neutral position to hold it there. THAT is the neutral position function.

That helps, I guess its basically how I was interpreting it, that if the 3pt is set to raise to high and its still calling for pressure then it can affect loader performance. Another member had this issue with his M7040 because his 3pt was still calling for pressure even though it reached the utmost raised position.

The 3ph lever will stay forward (3ph dropped) on mine if I push it forward and don't pull it back to the center (neutral) position. I'm convinced that is what they mean.

Ahh, you have position control right? I'm trying to remember how the 1/4 inch valving was on my B3200. I think the lever would return to center after raising or lowering. I can now understand this being "neutral". I had position control stuck in my mind. Couldn't see how position control could have neutral

You are correct, position control does not have a neutral, it is infinitely adjustable within it's range of motion. Can you tell I use my B7800 more than the L4350? What can happen and it did to me was that the upper stop on the position control was not set correctly and when the hitch was in the top position it was still wanting more hydraulically. Perhaps this may be the problem. After I adjusted mine that problem went away.

The 3 pt lever can "stick" in the up or the down position. I wish it "self centered" better, but it often does not. Simply put, it sticks sometimes. When it does, it pre-empts, if that is the word, the power, leaving inadequate flow to the FEL or at least bothering it considerably.

It's all just the "nature of the beast". You get used to and recognize immediately what's going on. Use the 3 pt in conjunction with the FEL, as in moving snow, and you find this happens often enough. You instinctively check the 3 pt lever, center it, and go right on with your work. No big deal, once you realize what's going on.

I got another one for you guys. How many of you have been looking back at what you're doing and your knee accidentally forces the FEL joystick at your hip? Next thing you hear is your FEL dragging the ground. I hate when I do that.

On my 2920, there is a linkage attached to the 3-point that presses the control lever back to center if you raise to max height. So, you can never get in a situation where it sticks in the up position, which would be bad (and use up hydraulic pressure). Maybe you can adjust the linkage to prevent yours from sticking in the up position.

There is no centering linkage for the down position, but it's not really an issue there because it's not affecting hydraulic pressure. Thus, if you leave the lever all the way down, whatever is on the 3-point can float under its own weight, since it is not being opposed by hydraulic pressure in either direction.

Good to know! The "sticking" is mostly caused by the rubber sheath, me thinks. So darn busy this time of year, I haven't taken the time to fool with it, but I will.

Ahhh...I'm flipping through this thread to see why the OP's bucket is stuck and learn why my loader seems a bit weak at times....my 3ph may be up and calling for fluid.

Dang, I love this forum!

I have an issue on my2320 3pt,,, It costantly leaks down,, will not hold position??It has been to dealer, and they diddn't fix problem,, It has 144 hrs,,Rhinehart Rome Ga. said there is nothing wrong with it,, There is no detent postion,,either up/down... no hold at any postion of lever ?? Any one else with this problem >>>

Welcome to TBN.

It would be much better if you started your own thread with this issue. It would get more attention than being tagged onto the end of this one.
