blueriver.
Trust you continue to have a good hay crop.
And I still use the 55 gal. barrel also 5 gal. square plastic containers.
Tractor isn't always near the standing tank. and a fuel trailer was considered then talked out of using because of others need.
So far still a good year here.

I hope your year and hay crop go well also. I'm keeping the 5o gallon TSC tank and 12 volt pump in the truck to fill in the fields. This will help out a bunch.

also where the nozzle hangs it's open to weather, so I'm going to use a liter soda bottle to stick it in.

You might look to see if there is a curved hook cast into the top of the nozzle
handle. If so, there is probably a hole in the cross brace under your tank at the front. The nozzle hooks in the hole and is under the tank out of the weather. You can loop the hose around the nozzle to keep it off the ground.
We have to put a cap over our nozzle anyway too keep bugs from filling it with mud nests.

it would be nice If I knew someone near me that gets off road in their tanks willing to sell me 50 gallons at a time since I can't get it unless its delivered in 150 gallons or more with a tank. better for them since fuel stays fresh from being used more often and better for me since I would be paying less then on road and I only need roughly 50 gallons a year.:(

Consider how much diesel has gone up each year the past few years.
Off road has gone up porportionally. It would be nice for you but the someone
near you willing to sell you 50 gallon will be paying more than you paid him just to replace the same 50 gallon next time.

Not true. It's gone up about a nickel in the last two years. It's come down from it's peak in 2008 of almost $4.70 a gallon.
Diesel prices were highest from about April to Sept 2008, and have almost leveled out for two years - April 2011 till now. Prices in my areas have just dropped by 5 to 10 cents per gallon.

I have 2 275 gallon tanks. One for offroad (red) and another for on road I've been running bio diesel for years now and save quite a but of money, but the real benefit is the ease of not having to drive to a gas station and get a end of year summary for tax time. As far as fuel thieves go you need a trained dog, camera and plenty of ammo

It has no hook ... weird. So it graddles in the "v" on the stand, I loop the hose over the valve and filter I have a bean can over it to keep out the bugs and water.

Ask a local supplier if they deliver anywhere near you and tell them next time they are in the area you will be happy to meet the delivery truck and fill your 50 gallon tank.

How much do you actually save? Are you running it in any of the tractors?
