Its on a 46pto HP,its a 8ft. The thing will not go up anymore, cause them two pieces are hitting. I have looked threw the manual pictures suck,I also e-mailed photos to dealer yesterday and they havent got back to me. Good thing im not in any hurry to use it,I would have been in bind...
#1-blew hyd.hose on loader un-loading baler
#2-shaft to long gotta cut down
#3-mower will not fold all the way up
and I haven't even started:D

You'll handle that cutter just fine ... and relax you'll get it all worked out and before long the bales will be rollin out of that baler.

I'll never forget the first time I round baled... thats a learning curve of its own.

We use 62 hp (pto) on our 9' cutter. No problems but wish we had more hp. Main thing is be careful going over hilly terrain when the cutter is raised with such a light machine. Mine in 8,000+ lbs and once I was going down a little gully and the feeling is horrible.

Can't help ya FE...but WAG would be $1,500. No square bales for me...too much darn work.

Rain is on the way tonight, so we kinda pushed the envelope a little on dry time. I'm having problems with the baler a Hesston 530..keeps jamming. But, We got it done. I'm going to start a thread in attachments to see if anyone has any ideas on the cause. Here are the pic's:

The 530 is a 4x4? My Case IH 8430 is a 4x4 and if the hay is a little tough it too will jam ... mine doesn't like to start the roll, I get a small amount going and then the feed jams up. So my guess is as you already stated you pushed the envelope ... these little balers kinda talk to you and can tell you things.

How does she like it? In the market for my girlfriend and she is leaning towards S&W .38 revolver instead of 380. She likes simplicity of revolver.

Back to regular schedule program of making hay....
