Jim, $198 shipping 933 miles to Hartford/South Windsor. You can take $200 off the list price on Ebay to arrive at our bottom dollar on the mowers. Payment with a check and we can take a additional 3% off the gross amount. Ken

Man I have been wanting a sickle mower for some time. But man I just cant justify the cost. It would be hardly used. Once every couple of years we clean out the dirch way of small sappling and brush at my grandparents. It sucks and everytime we do it I wished I had a sickle. Thats the only use I would have for one right now. But I plan on doing a pond in the next few years. Maybe I will get one to keep it maintained.

Still holding out for that once-in-a-lifetime deal from c-list or locally. Keep seeing a bunch of cheap pittman styles though

Thanks, Ken - I'll see if there's any budget left. Plant Manager is talking about the upstairs bathroom needing to be taken down to the studs, so I gotta move fast.

I've been doing the same, with the similar results. They're usually so beat that they scare me off or they sold before I got there (or called). Two years ago I cut a good swath of our field with a scythe and used the long stem clippings as mulch on our vegetable garden - with very good results. Hardly any weed growth for a month. And the soil stayed moist, even though it was hot, hot, hot that summer.
