Doh, now it's obvious. I was thinking it moved hay from center to the outer edges to create two windrows. Should have looked at the way the ends of the tines were bent.

Took a 20 year old rake and in a week turned it into a dependable piece of equipment. A lot of welding, sandblasting, and painting.

You did good ... I love mine. It makes a windrow so nice and its fast.
