Trading my L2800 gear for L3800 HST... opinions on dealer offer?

Have you discounted a Grand L? I know they cost more, but sure are nice.

I'm not shopping strictly by price but it does play a role here. I have a CFO to answer to.
Moreover, I'm finding that Mahindra and Kioti offer extra features on their machines, for less money, as does Bobcat. Other than Deere (who act like they're selling Maseratti's) there are no dealers near me who are stocked with machines to try.

I'm approaching several dealers of different brands to see how the cards fall.

The Kioti,CK35HST has a lot going for it, for less money.

I found a new Bobcat CT335HST (a Kioti DK335) nearby, which is a LOT of tractor, for the money.

I'm waiting on numbers from a Mahindra dealer on the 3016, 3616 and 4010, as well as from the Bobcat dealer.

HAVING SAID ALL THAT... I do have GREAT faith in the Kubota brand and in my dealer. I'm just trying to make an educated, intelligent choice, while being fiscally responsible.

I won't buy one that does this.

If you can show me that it doesn't with something heavy on the back, then we're "In like Flint".

I had to acquire a new skillset to use my BB and rake on my L2800 because the 3pt. jumps when lifting. If the new L3200 or L3800 doesn't do this (and it's been reported by others that it does) that would be a big factor for me.

Yes when you want to go to a particular height setting on the 3pt, dont try to to reach it going up, just push up on the control and overshoot your destination, and feather down to where you want to be.. Smooth as silk that way.

That's one way. Lightly tapping the lift handle in the "up" direction helps it lift in small increments. Still jumpy, just not "big" jumpy. Sometimes jumps too much, which is the problem for me. When I'm grading, I have to stop, back up and try again. PIA.

I can sure identify with all that; regions vary. Kioti and Mahindra are extremely rare here, so established dealerships with good reputations limit many to Kubota/NH (same dealer) and John Deere.

I am sure you will be happy with any you mentioned.

how is your hitch?

Mine isn't jerky enough to worry about. Not as smooth going up 'very slow' as our old 3750, but not bad at all.

It still boggles my mind that there are "some" dealers who have never seen a jerky hitch:confused2:

In no-so-many-words kubota has already admitted they have a problem. As evident by the 4 or 5 valves they have tried:confused2:
