Up late this morning...

61 degrees and light rain...I hope it's steady all day,actually.
The prediction is 72 and thunderstorms.
Well, got the outdoor work done...so, let it rain!

Like Roy, I'm up late this morning.

74 and (supposedly) cloudy here .... but looking out the window I see the sun peeking out .... headed up to the upper 80's ....

Had some thunderstorms move thru yesterday - got a nice steady rain that lasted for several (4 ?) hours - really needed it.

Got about 80% of the gutter on the rear of the house cleaned out yesterday before it started raining, hafta get out the 30' extension ladder to clean the rest of it. Did a little pruning on the wife's redbud tree and an oak tree that was blocking the trail on the edge of the property. Also got the string trimmer fired up and did some edging.

While I was up on the roof I scoped out the chimney swifts - they didn't much like it - understandable: looks like they have about 10 eggs in the nest.

No chance of rain in the forecast until later today, so the first order of business is to finish the spraying and get the Roundup out of the tank so it can be cleaned out and put away. Hopefully I can finish cleaning up the garage today and get the remainder of the service done on the MMM deck and pull the deck on the Simplicity and get the blades sharpened on that.

Really kind of disgusted with myself. Didn't get a darn thing done today. Lots to do, no ambition today. Maybe I'm getting goofy as I get older.

Hi guys, 65 degrees here now...just got a strong downpour of 3/4" of rain the first real rainfall in 2 weeks.

It's down to 69 degrees here now - you must have sent that storm our way - we just had a gully washer.

Dunno how much (no rain gauge) but it poured hard for about a 1/2 hour .... at least.

Sometimes I have the same problem... I have the stuff I am supposed to be doing, instead I come here.

I think it is a combo of fatigue and depression at the state of affairs (mine and the worlds). Basically escapism...
