I agree with robs660, as a retired Structural Steel Ironworker I would feel a lot better with the added bracing, otherwise I like the idea.
Does that boom support attach rigidly to the front edge of your bucket, or is it just notched to grab the bucket edge?I also triangulated down to the bottom of the bucket.

Connecting the roof on your addition to your existing house is going to take quite a bit of skill, or maybe I don't understand how it intersects with the house.
Hi all
A scaffold on the FEL looks really useful, I could have done with one a few times. But how safe is this? My tractor manuals and lots of reading tells me that one should never carry people or ride in the FEL, this referers to when the tractor is moving, but I'd assume that the same would apply.
If the tractor is off then any movement of the joystick will cause the pressure to be released and the FEL to crash down so I presume the tractor has to be idling? Even then does the FEL/scaffold stay up in the air? does it slowly lower as pressure leaks out?

Latest project was welding on receiver tubes to the top of my FEL, primarily for lifting things but I also made a scaffolding I can work off of. I just started putting up a building for my equipment, I plan to use this a lot.
I see it, thanks.Beez, the triangulated support comes down and rests on a 2x2 angle iron setting on the edge of the bucket....hopefully you can see it in this pic.
I see, that will be nice. The "garden/tool shed will be separated from the house by privacy fencing to match the walls of the shed...here is a pic in progress without the gate mounted yet..again not a good pic. The short 4.5 ft far end is for our trash cans ,then it steps up to 6 ft privacy fence and then finally the 8' garden /tool shed. I'll try to take better ones tomorrow
