York Rake--Are they any good!

The scarifier, plus the blade, and crank wheel adjustment are all nice features. I wish I had the scarifier to "till" the ground before raking - thats a great feature especially for soil prep for grass.

With scarifiers ot could sort of double as a box blade but likely not as robust so think of getting a "two in one" tool.

As others said, $800 is a decent price - even if you use it for 5 years it will still be worth $500-600 range with these features.

LANDSCAPE RAKE
The newer York's look to have a spring loaded down pressure rod on the scarifier. This one looks to have some kind of locking rod but don't see any springs. Hoping to take a look at it tomorrow.

York Rakes - YouTube
This will have to do for now:) The 105-110 degrees F here in Kansas kind of puts a damper on outside play.

Edit: I did get a chance to see what the scarifier would do. I figured it should not have any trouble penetrating due to the weight leverage behind. It was a joy to see it cut very smoothly!

the B9200 is a great machine but a 6 foot york at a 2-3 inch depth might be too much for your old girl. good luck

Now that surprises me as I assumed the B9200 had plenty of stuff to handle a 6' rake.
Would one normally run a rake at that depth? I assume that would have to be in loose dirt as the teeth are probably not strong enough to handle that kind of depth in packed soil.
