My point exactly. These dealers that are giving the 1 series such a bad rap need to get their act together! This isn't a build or engineering issue, it's a lack of attention to detail by the dealer and it's a shame that those dealers are giving this good product a bad rap. It's had some other pitfalls that aren't dealer involved, but the MMM issue is by far the most prominent, and something that should never occur.
again going to tell step to remove and install mower
install mower.If mower is in garage Drop all four wheel and to roll it on lawn for install.
Go to front of mower and make sure pull up on front round rods.next unlock all four wheels.need to turn knob on tractor to install .If you have Independent Lift you need to hook up hose on tractor.side tractor in 4x4 and drive over deck.If it all lock in place that great but allot of them are not so when you lift mower it fall off tractor.the must back up and tray again.get off tractor to lock it in .If you are like me its not and need to fight and pull and tug to lock it in.IF you lock it in after fighting for it 15 min you can lift mower and need to adjust all four wheel to hight you want cut uoir grass.
Remove unlock all four wheels,unlock mower very hard to unlock.drive over deck .Independent Lift unhook hose.Drop all four wheels and store mower.

I overlooked that also & my dealer did not tell me to do it.
None of the online videos that I have seen mention that either.

I did steps that martain said to do.all the step set up mower. Like dealer would to make it mow nice.It did not do anything to make it latch after drive over deck or unlatch easy.I thing this is JOHN DEERE problem.I called my dealer and he didn't know where to turn.Not very happy with this.This is my first and very last johndeere.

Hey jdphan why would you say that. When dealer drop it off at my house it would not latch after install deck. So saying john deere trained guy is manlfunction.You are wrong. How about tractor it self is malfunction.You drive over deck it should latch itself.If it don't its john deere problem.
