Are you an insurance agent also? I was referring to the agents. One thing I noticed in all these replies is that all the piling on was done by Yankees.

When someone admits they don't want informed information and would rather get ignorant opinions, piling on is inevitable, regardless of where you are from. By the way, I lived in Houston, Dallas and Kemah for 18 years of my life as well as Germany, NY, and most of New England too. I'd say in my case the piling on was pretty well rounded geographically. When someone admits they don't want informed information and would rather get ignorant opinions, piling on is inevitable, regardless of where you are from. And I lived in Texas and Florida, as well as Missouri and PA. Guess I am somewhat rounded too!

Forgot to mention that I have owned heavy equipment and tractors since 1984. I still own a 2007 Dressta dozer to maintain and improve my property. I did all my own excavating, ditch work, electrical, septic sysytem, land clearing etc on the last two buildings that I built, one was my office, the other is my current home. I am still improving my property and enjoy food plotting. I had more than a small hand in the construction of my office and current home as well as several outbuildings. I worked in electronics as a field service engineer for over 10 years too.

Darn those stupid inurance agents! How could I have been one for the last 23 years and owned an agency for the last 22??

You are probably right cowpatty, but her disregard for informed information was also mind boggling. I own my agency, so I am the boss, but customers who disregard information like that I refuse to do business with because they are trouble not worth having. Please accept my apology bindian. I really do wish you no ill will.

I seriously doubt if you will be able to get insurance directly from an underwriter, that's why there are commissioned agents/brokers - they represent many different underwriters in most cases. Disregard these links if you've been there before.
