Ok, just sold a 755 (first I had a 655, have I yet said I love the X55 Series?), picking up a low hour 955, I have a New Holland 758C backhoe in new condition, which I bought and painted green and decide was too big for the 755. I paid,.....$1800 for the hoe, a SCREAMING deal, I was the second Craigslist call 10 minutes after he posted it, and immmeadiately hoped in my truck for the hour drive to "hope" the first guy hiccupped (he did), BAM, bought it with people calling the guy nearly non stop as we went to my bank branch in his hometown to get the cash. Looks like they put it in the barn and NEVER touched it. Sooooo, here it is, just under a thousand pounds, and nearly identical specs to the JD8 (perhaps built by the same company). I can fab just about anything and read DFKrug's ENTIRE subframe posts last night, no worries, I engineer, design and fab ALOT professionally, and blacksmith etc, ton of metal working machins, plama cutter, mig, forge, etc.....so building my "up close" sub-frame ladder support not hooked to the three point mounts will NOT be a problem. I know I will need a "power beyond kit", or make one myself, not much to those, I put one on the 755.
What do ya think folks? I can easily foam fill the rear tires (local shop already did my forklifts and skidloader tires), so a little more ballast, and I will be running R4's that is first thing I always do, swap out rim/tire combo to what I need (R4s). ??
Thanks, Ironwood
