Funny how things turn out. I started with a BX23TLB went up to a B3200TLB and now own a Grand L3540, liked each tractor they could and did everything I needed and more so. I quess what I'm trying to say is you may start with the B2920 TLB but end up , well who knows. I think everyones plan is to evaluate and research your own needs for a certain size tractor so when you finely do purchace the tractor you think is right for you needs and wants sometimes takes over. Good luck with your choice as the 2920 or the 3200 or 3300 are great size tractors and you can't go wrong with either, can you? lol.

Priorities change over the years of property development. I started with a 45 HP with FELand 6ft bushhog that did most of what I wanted to do. Then I went to a 70 HP with FEL that did lots of dirt moving and tree crunching but then all that was finished and the big tractor is rarely used now. I then decided that I wanted something small (even smaller than the 45 Hp so I ended up with a B 26TLB which does most of the work I need to do. I sold the 45 HP Yanmar and now have a BIG and a small tractor. I will probably put the LS P7010 on the market later. The cab and AC are nice, but I just dont have much use for it now. Maybe a little bit more large rock moves to do and then I dont know what is left that I cant use the B26 for. Sometimes larger isnt the best way to go even if the price is right for the budget.
Consider what your long term goals and work are then buy the tractor that fits.

Dont be suckered into the BIGGER is Better and just a little more money gets bigger machine because is isnt always true.

Just goes to show you. I had a customer come in yesterday and wasn't too sure what he wanted or needed. Wanted a tractor w/ a mmm. Quoted him a BX25TLB, B3200 w/ FEL and a B3000Cab w/ FEL. All w/ mmm and box scraper. Came back today and decided on a BX2660 w/ mmm, FEL, scraper and possibly a 51" front mount snowblower.

I've bought 13 Kubotas from Barlows over 9 years. My first purchase from them was my first tractor purchase, it was a BX2200, MMM, FEL. It did more than I expected but not as much as I wanted AFTER using it for a year and then seeing how much more work I wanted to do myself. I then went to a B7800 FEL RFM and a BX1500 MMM for 3 years. I then went to a BX2350 MMM and L3240HST FEL and I discovered you can buy to big so traded those 2 off real quick to a B3200 FEL and BX2660 FEL MMM and on from there as interests and jobs changed to the 5 I have now.

Thanks for the food for thought, guys, it really helps. I always get sucked into what you are talking about s219 with the, it's only $600 more for this or that, hahahaha! I checked pricing with my local dealer and another, they came in about $2,000+ more for the B3200 TLB over the B2920 TLB so knowing that price difference, I don't think I'm going to consider moving up to the B3200. I do want to keep the mid-PTO because, as my BH projects die down, I will primarily be using the B for mowing and occassional loader work. I think the B2920 will give me exactly what I need and for some reason, if I ever need more machine, I could always look at selling and purchasing what I need at that time if the economics justify the move. I may take a B3200 for a spin, just to make sure, but I have a feeling that the additional cost alone knocks it out of contention and the increased capacity isn't all the necessary. Decisions, decisions! Will keep you guy posted though!

I've got a little less than 10 hours on my new B2920 and love it! I started out with the BX25 but didn't like the smaller tires. I priced out the BX25, B2920, B3200, and B3030 and for the $/hp/feature, the best buy is the B2920. My price was something like $23,000 even, set up and delivered with methanol/water loaded tires. Add in a $1100 insurance policy for the financing and another grand for tax and I'm on the hook for a cool $25K. Work that out over 20 years or so and it's not so bad, my rationalization tells me. Didn't even know about the filled tires until the delivery guy pointed it out! I really like the mid PTO and having the rear PTO dual speed opens up the possibility for future expansion. I just purchased a NorTrac 5' rotary cutter and can't wait to see how it performs. My budget was originally $15-18K but there really aren't any used tractors out there for that price. I got the 0 down, 0% five year financing so it doesn't hurt as much as forking over all the cash at once. My wife unit is not overly thrilled, but I let her drive it the other day, so she's starting to come around....
