Dan,
Thanks for the Superior Rental plug...I rented it this past Friday and I love the trailer! Now I want one for myself! Here's some pics of the 1050 and the trailer.

Someone with a construction business might haul for you, yeah you'll pay but they will have the insurance and chains, etc. Members in other parts of the country don't know what its like here in the NorthEast. You can't just drive a tractor down the road; even with SMV sign and Farm plates. And frankly what if you break down, you have this big lug sitting on the road Years ago, we would drive our tractors with equipment, to fields 10 miles from here, but no more.....too much traffic and Yuppie cops.!

Wondering about the tonque weight with the tractor loaded backwards and that close to the front in regards to the axles. With my JD and hoe I have to load frontwards and leave the hoe slightly sticking out the back.....

I had no issue with weight and it was recommended by the rental company that transports heavy equipment that I load the rear of the tractor to the front. Not sure if it matters, but I was pulling it with a F350 (7.3 L turbo diesel) 1-ton truck.

I had no issue with weight

setup looks slightly larger than my TC33 with woods groundbreaker on the rear. with my 20' 10K trailer I generally park the tractor faceing forward with the front wheels just past the edge of the front fender. This results in about 800lbs of tongue weight (measured with scale).

To get the same setup with my backhoe on the rear, i have to move it back about 4". The bucket of the hoe will sit on the back edge of the trailer with it tucked all the way in but the top of the dipper breaks the rear plane.

From my experience id say with your setup loaded backward and that far forward, you had signficnatly overloaded the class 4/5 hitch for tongue weight.
