My 5040 was a great tractor,kinda miss it now but not having to rake on it today was nice,boy was it dusty. And the LandPride(RCR3596) has never miss a beat....

Good call. I was experimenting between 2 low and 2 high, depending on how thick it was. I didnt really ever need to be in 2nd low, but I'm still learning how to maneuver around trees/mesquite. I think I was probably running 3rd low in that pic, 4th tops.

I didn't start until 6:30 or so, so it was probably in the 90s but still dusty. Do you cut hay/mow/farm for a living? Definitely deserve the cabs if you do.

Heck I wish could do it for a living but no I work for marathon oil as a field operator(8on6off local). Between me and my father we run 53head of cattle and own around 400acres and I lease another 175acres. I just bought new hay equipment this year,so dont have to rely on someone else,and my father had trouble getting someone to bale his. I also work for another ranch just feeding when they are not in town,then help neighbors and friends out when they need some mowing or spraying done. I am working to get up to 100head but need to get some pastures cleared and maybe picking up some near by pastures to lease. Yeah I turned 33 today,I baled hay all day but thats fine going Golfing in morning. Wife told me to stop working and go do something,so me,my father and buddies gonna hit the ball around alittle bit.

The father usually rakes thats why needed to get another cab tractor also.We have 2-M7040 a 2010(450hrs)(ours) and 2012(60 hrs now)(just mine)

Very cool. Hope you had fun today. Sounds like you have a tremendous work ethic. I sit behind a desk all day, but if it paid a little better, I believe I would prefer to sit in a tractor seat instead.
