Thanks for the response. Next related question ... What is the best way to insure that the pressure is relieved from the hydraulics before disconnecting a line? I want to avoid a surprise.

Is the 3rd SCV already installed on your tractor? I read it as you are only installing the hardline kit, is that correct?
However the instruction do not say anything about the tire only remove the finder.

If the 4520 is anything like my 4200, the 3rd SCV spool is part of the 1st & 2nd SCV valve body used to power the loader. All the 3rd SCV kit consists of then is hardlines and a way to actuate the spool.
For a loader , there are better ways to control a loader than tying up the SCV ports and valves. Just purchase a proper closed center joystick for the loader.

How will a closed center valve work correctly on this type hyd pump???? I think later model JD CUT's are open-center not closed-center hyd's. On a lot of JD utility model tractors rear remotes(scv's) is JD's only loader control OPTION.
