That is the official count. That is the ID of the last post minus the number of deleted posts.

Over the last 7 days, from 9/11/12 @ 7:33AM to today at 7:33AM, there have been 8409 posts. So right @ 1200 per day and 50 per hour average over this last week.

We only need 10,599 posts to make 3 million. So based on the average over the last 7 days, we are 8 days, 19 hours, and 57 minutes away.

Currently puts that @ the 27th @ 3:49AM if my math is correct
