ONE BIG ROCK IN THE WAY!!!!

This was my only option at the time. You do have a good point with the frost. I guess if I see the rock poking out again I will just have to dig another "deep hole" and cover it again. In 20 to 30 years my kids can worry about it....lol I will have make sure I give them the tractor in my will.

Many thousand years ago the glacers moved those rocks to his part of WI. My part of WI has the lakes and iron ore rocks. The water that comes from that kind of well here can be too hard to chew let alone drink. Like you said, I don't think frost will have it back to the top in your lifetime.

Biggest rock I find in my yard is about basket ball size. Problem is I can only find them with the mower blades, and the sparks REALLY can fly........... OUCH........

Good luck

kwg - ya wimp! Why didn't you take the rock out and move it? lol... My wife asked me to fix her riding ring - remove a small rock. 2.5 hours later and that puppy was out.
Now she is asking me to remove from the place that I put it... time to dig a hole... a very big hole. Will posts pics later.

Actually I could use your rock for a new project I started today.

Later...

I would've loved to pull the rock out but I think it weighed as much as the tractor. At least by burying it I don't have to move it anymore like yourself.

Man, I feel kinda left out, I dont have any rocks. As a matter a fact, i needed to beat a pin back down and didn't have a rock handy so had to walk all the way back to the shop for a hammer.

I was wondering if this was really a case of a big rock or rather a tractor that is too small in comparison.

My b-i-l said the guy that dug his foundation and leveled his driveway built up the parking area about 3 feet. This guy builds roads for a living up in the granite rocks of the Black Hills. When asked why he built it up so high he walked over to a fist size rock on the lowest corner. He said "You see that rock? I couldn't move it with my excavator." :)
