What size trailer for L45?

Don't forget to put it in 4WD when you load it or unload it.

Nice looking trailer!

Yes, the bucket is supposed to be secured. A little ridiculous, but true. Ft Worth police will write a ticket on it in a heartbeat.

I don't think they watch that kind of stuff around here but I will secure the bucket if I move my tractor. I see guys going down the road with 25-30 bales of hay with out anything holding them.

Good idea. Yeah, I see guys trailering skid steers around here with nothing but a strap through the cab handles, and guys running farm plates seem to get away with anything too. I prefer to stay legal just in case something unplanned happens. The right size (and amount of) chains and binders and a ratchet strap over the bucket are pretty cheap "blame" insurance.

I forgot mention the guys hauling $10k zero turns not tied down. I'm like you I want my stuff tied down right.

My friend has a 14K trailer @ 22' and it does not have much room on it once you start carrying attachments. Forget the 20' and get a 22' or 24' That is a real nice size trailer for this size machine. He had an 18' Big Tex but the new trailer is so much nicer.

I'm taking my truck into a custom welding shop this morning to have a new, beefier hitch welded on. Then after that I have to take a forklift back over to the dealer. I'll take some picts for posting while I'm loading it up so you can see the tilt angle.

Here is a similar sized tractor on a 22' trailer... I also recommend going a bit longer than 20'.

TBarD, wow what a beautiful picture of where you live? Oh the Kubota Rocks as well.

Here are a couple of picts from yesterday. The loading angle is really quite low.

I like the load angle. Is the trailer power up and down?

No, it just works off from a hydraulic valve that has a small control switch on the side of the trailer. I figured a power up and down would be a slower process. This way, I open the valve and stand on the end of the trailer and it's down in about 2 or 3 seconds. Slightly close the valve and the equipment will slowly pressure the ram back down with no slamming. Works pretty slick. I also just mounted a tongue toolbox for my binders and chains. Ready, Set, Haul...

It sounds like a nice setup. You won't have to worry about a battery either. Also you are supposed to check the wheels on your new trailer after 25 or 50 miles of towing to make sure they are tight.
