Steve spent a couple of years living at Corona ,N.Mex. While there the ranchers were clearing brush draging a ship anchor chain with a large dozer attached to each end. Sure made the deer run and same with cattle. The trees popped out including the stump.
Liked Ruidoso used to go to our Doctor there.
Now Roswell was the location to buy our grocerys could load a station wagon from Safeway and cost about 100 bucks.

Corona hasn't changed much in 50 years, still blink your eyes and miss it. That is where I buy my steel though, it is the only business of consequence there, Interestingly the Hueys started this business about the time you were there and have stayed all this time growing a little at a time. Good people to deal with imo.

Like everywhere else groceries are running about $300/cart now.

I worked at the compressor station south of Corona and visited about a year ago and all thet is there now

thumb got in the way of message. was saying that there were 40 company houses and so when EPNG. decided to up date the compressor system they took out all of the compressors and installed a large turbine
and removed the housing. closed the airport landing strip &office buildings.
had a hard time trying to remember where used to live.
