I picked up this 5ft brush hog from Facebook for dirt cheap. The seller had just acquired an old Ford Tractor that the brush hog came with it. The seller was told it worked, but never used himself. Seller has no other details about it.
There is partially intact IMCO sticker on the side, leading me to believe it is an IMCO... But when I look at IMCO units on the auction sites (like TractorHouse) - mine does not look like an IMCO. Maybe mine is just super old, or the ones on the auction sites are super old??? There are just no other ID markers anywhere I can find.
The back of the gearbox has 3 stars. But even that does not seem to be a dead give away to the make/model. I'm hoping someone might be able to more definitively tell me what I got here.
Also, gearbox oil has clearly not been changed in a long time. The bolt at top is extraordinarily rusted in place (I've been soaking in PB Blaster). The hole down on the lower right hand side - should there be a bolt there as well?
