Kubota L3940HST
I'm preparing for a new winter project: adding remotes on my L3940HST. Working all summer with the box blade, I saw how much extra work I was doing just to adjust the box blade: tilt the box up, tilt the box down, keep it horizontal, etc. so I decided to added 2 remotes just to TnT my box blade.
The dealer quoted $1350CAD just for parts. This will include 2 floating valves with levers and couplers. Is this price okay?
Thx.

I paid $718usd for the 1st valve when I took delivery of tractor, and had the 2nd added for $426usd a few months later. Parts and labor by local Kubota dealer. I had them space the levers out so they were easier to manipulate. Philip.

Can you please confirm the valves which you have are floating style? I remember somebody here said the floating valve are little more expensive.

1st set, L8335-20 and L8309-2. 2nd set L8336 and L8308. None of them float. Philip.

It's all about cosmetics. I put a dual-remote setup on my tractor a couple of years ago to run a snowblower chute. I paid a little over $200 for a dual-spool valve, and maybe another $100 for hoses and couplings. Float or non-float is irrelevant - its just another valve option - cost is similar. The exorbitant cost quoted to you should (I would hope) result in a clean and factory-looking installation that doesn't look like you built it in your garage. Can't say the same thing for mine.

I just received a quote from our friends from south as $1150US. Seems you guys has different prices there. Now I'm still thinking in what direction to go as pay more and have a Kubota factory style or pay less (I don't know how much yet) and have an exposed valve. I checked the forum but I didn't see any non-Kubota valves instaled on a L3940. Do you have any recommendation for valves and couplings in order to check the exact price.
Thx.

You might want to contact MtnViewRanch as he sells Fit-Rite I believe.

I had three OEM remotes and TnT on our last tractor.

Is that $1150 shipped up to you? The shipping will not be cheap. :( You get what you pay for, you can do a pretty nice aftermarket setup for $600-$800, but it will still be an aftermarket setup and IT WILL NOT be close to appearing like the OEM set.

No shipping cost included. That will be a fortune with taxes maybe some duty, etc... I'm at 1 hour drive from the border so I can pickup from there.

If you can afford the OEM units, that is the way that I would go myself. Be sure to get at least one of your valves with the float function if not both of them. ;)
