I'm looking at either a EX3200TL for 12,200 or EX450 TL for 14,500 at a local dealer. Are these prices decent for brand new with a loader? Are the new Yanmar tractors any good?
Are new Yanmars good tractors? How are these prices

With having done a quick search of the EX3200TL it list for 16,500 ( with Loader ) so yes the price sound to be good, as far as being a >New Model< only one can tell after a while of use, if good or bad? - Most folks would say look into the dealerships track record for backing their warranty, Thats true! But their backing limited and short term Warranties, I would look at the history of the dealership, Will they be willing to help you obtain repairs if needed AFTER the dealership Warranty expires> etc,etc,. Perhaps look for one selling reliable tractor that don't need working on, ( via- warranty repairs all the time),
Remember most of the warranty is covered by the manufacture, not the dealership, a good dealer will know his/her tractors and only try to sell good reliable ones and stay away from ones that have had history of problems, if a dealership has been in business for any length of time 10+ years, He's probably built a name for themself... be it either good or bad

I had an EX3200TL, bought new in '09. Very reliable, no mechanical issues, easy to maintain, and sipped fuel. This past spring I traded it for a larger tractor that I needed for other purposes. I still miss the 3200 though. Dealer I traded it to resold it for over 13K so the 12,200 you are quoted seems like a good deal.
I buy other equipment from the Yanmar dealer. He tells me the line has been great for him and rarely sees a tractor come back for warranty work.

I have a lx410 it is a great tractor, a JD 850 that was made by Yanmar and it is bullet proof. I would shy away from the ex450 with a cl400 loader which was replaced with the much more capable LX / CL 600 line. My CCY 410 was 18000 out the door.

honestly though what dealer still selling brand X will tell u they have issues? even if u not gonna buy you may pass info on to someone whi is?

that's not the point I was making, the point was a ( Good Dealer ) will be sure what he is selling are "Good tractors" :thumbsup:
as a matter of fact your statement clemsonfor is that of what would be expected of a " Bad " dealership, and is exactly the ones not wanting to do business with, their track record will reflect their business practices,
just as a used car dealership trying to sell patched up cars that ultimately break down, people will stop buying from them, forcing them to either shut down or in order to stay in business they will be sure what they are selling are good quality cars,

i was trying to point out though even a good dealer who sells [ill pick on kioti, short name and alows us to use a real brand] kioti. if you ask "do u have much trouble"m and he responds, yea the loaders are weak, had to rebuild 5 injector pumps undr warrenty and they have trouble over heating. if this is true he is honest but if he makes this general statement u prolly wont buy one. but i see ur point, he should drop the line, but he cant do that over night? but ur point of selling brand X for 10yrs is a good point.

He was pretty upfront about the brands he sold and their issues. Of course with compact tractors actual manufacturers change but the badge stays with the dealer. 1of his brands is Case and he explained the current mfg was not as good as previous. Anyway, I felt he was being square about Yanmar. But yes, always reason to assume a dealer won't trash his brands.
