Sleep habits, mine are a disaster. How 'bout you?

I've gotta say the way I sleep is bizarre. I roll around, wake up about every hour, twist the sheets up, snore, wake up and read a book for 2 hours in the middle of the night. My wife and I now sleep in two different rooms on two different floors of the house because of this. It's so bad that my sheets need to be put back on the bed every day because when I roll over I pull them right off the bed (even the slip cover from the mattress). I even somehow get the pillow covers off in the night.

I seem to get enough rest but who knows how I do it. How about you guys, do you sleep well? Are you a toss and turner like me? Just curious.

Ha ha ha. Never thought of that. Fact is we both sleep a lot better now. Ha ha

wow... you sleep at night?

I guess maybe I am the minority here but I work at night and only sleep at night on the weekends. Sometimes I have trouble falling asleep but once sleeping I am out like a light. You wouldn't believe what I have slept through. Maybe try a better mattress, mine sucks but I still manage to get good sleep.

Jimmy what you describe sounds very much like a friend of mine that ended up being diagnosed with a sleep disorder. He did a sleep study where they wire you up so they can monitor your sleep patterns and found he was waking up, not fully, 38 times per hour. He now uses a machine that helps his breathing at night and no longer snores plus feels much more rested at the end of the night.

How in the world do you manage to separate the pillow from it's case in your sleep? I just can't see that happening with any amount of ease and I am side splitting laughing thinking about a guy rolloing around in his sleep so much that he can pull a pillow cover off!

From one Sleep apnea sufferer to another, you could very well have sleep apnea. It would be a good idea to get tested. It doesn't hurt.

I went for the sleep study and found out I have sleep apnea. Wired me up with all sorts of things. Felt like I had a computer keypad strapped to me besides all the tape and sensors everywhere. Told the guy doing the sleep study I usually get up to pee after about 5 hrs so you will have to unhook me. Also I told him don't try to wake me if I am asleep due to working for Uncle Sam because I usually wake up swinging. All went well. Stopped breathing 160 times and got me a sleep apnea breathing machine. I used to snore and shake the whole house now I guess I'm better with the aparatus...Not the most comfortable but it's the price of getting older and having problems I reckon.
