Attaching truck sno plow to tractor FEL, hydralic connections

Looks like it is connected correctly. Disconnect all the couplers and inspect the poppets, make sure they are seated closed when disconnected and push in easily. Looking for possible misfit of poppet or debris that may have been in one of the cylinders plugging a QD.
Move the connections at the tractor to see if it works from the other set of remotes. If it starts working, hook them back to the oringianl remote and if it stalls again there is either something stuck in one of those QDs or the valve is not dumping to tank.
If it makes no difference, same on either set of remotes, then take the male and female coupler off one set of hoses at the blade connection the turn them around and hook back up so you have a male and female on the blade hoses. Then you can hood these together and you should be able to manual push on the end blade to make it angle (best if you get angle completely one direction first before switching the couplers). Connect the male and female on the tractor side together and run the remote lever, it should flow oil without putting any hydraulic load on the engine. This should give you and idea of where the problem is to narrow it down a little for inspection & repair.

A lot of good ideas I'd bet on one of the couplers not connecting correctly. a process of elimination to find the bad one.

I think the reason it worked the first time was the hoses were empty.

Swap the hoses on the valve and try it again.

Make the connections plow and hose on the loader ends QD so you can plug the hoses together (when not in use hook them together keeping them clean)
Unhook plow couple the hoses from the tractor together and cycle the valve and see if you have flow through the looped hoses.

If its ok hook plow back up and try it.

If it doesn't seem to flow hoses looped
Leave one connected to port A take coupler off the other hose and put the fitting in the fill port on tank(most likely the rear axle) and cycle the valve pressuring the one connected to port A and see if oil comes out B hose in to tank

Swap the above A hose to B port and cycle the valve see if it flows to tank.

Take the A hose connector off and put the one on that was on B hose and test it on both ports again to check that coupler .

Once you are sure you have flow through the hoses both ways hook plow up again. and continue testing

I third the problem is quick couplers

does your joystick control have a detent? with tractor off, pushing past the detent might relieve the pressure next time you have stuck pressurized lines. work stick in all directions to relieve pressure next time.
I'm too puzzled on the hydraulics being stuck if you hooked up both SA as a single DA.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for all of the replies, it was the quick disconnects. I replaced the QD with unions as a test and everything worked fine, so i reinstalled the QD's in the other orientation and the blade locked up again. I bought another set of larger QD's and everything is working fine now, i guess the QD's the manuf sold me the first time can't handle the pressure or volume of oil. In short if anyone else is going to buy QD's for use on a tractor i recommend you just go ahead and buy at least the 1/2" QD's the first time.

Thanks again for all of the help.

I thank you Dave for your post and all the info from the rest of the crew. Now I know what to look for when I power angle my York.

I think K'Sam has a point here. I sold my 3320 to a guy and part of the deal was I made a set up for him to use an old Fisher. I bought a set of brand new disconnects and then after I delivered it, he said it didn't work. He replaced disconnects-end of problem.

Hmmm. I've got a 3320 with the JD hardlines and 1/4" Quick Couplers up to the front to operate my Meyer snow plow cylinders. Have not had any problems thus far. I kinda like the slower speed operation with the smaller hydraulic lines and couplers. Same goes for my grapple operation. Never an issue.

Did you use 1/4 in. rather than say 3/8 in. lines in order to reduce the speed?

Foggy,

I am by no means a hydralics guru and am not positive why i had problems with the 1/4" Quick Disconnects, my assumption for my issue is that my tractor hydralic system produces (2875 PSI, @18.4 GPM) to much throughput for the 1/4" Disconnects and over powers the springs resulting in them slamming shut.

I did a quick search on your JD 3320 and could not find a PSI rating for your hydralic system but it is rated at 8.6 GPM, my assumption is that your 1/4" QD's can handle that throughput and that is why you are not having any issue.
