Didn't you know? GM tranny's explode after 100 miles??? Lol.... Seriously, I never knew any of my Silverado's SHOULD be having all these problems.
I don't visit this site as much as I used to. I got tired of hearing what a piece of junk I drive.

I'm not sure that siv is the term I would use, but yes they do leak on occasion. I was in charge of a fleet with 40+ 2004-2006 Chevy and GMC 2500's with 4L80E transmissions and we had to fix some tranny lines. My 2001 GMC 3500 w/Allison never leaked in the 10 yrs and over 200k miles I had it.

Kind of like our Suburban with the AFM is supposed to use a quart of oil every 50 miles. I just checked it this past weekend (I normally don't because it never has used any, so why bother, used more oil wiping it off the dipstick) because I was just curious and checked since it SHOULD be doing it. Nope, with the OLM down to 30% left, it is right on the full mark where it was when I changed it. I have no idea on the mileage as I just go by the OLM, but I know it has had a few trips to the Cleveland Clinic in where I ran it 75+ there and back and a few hundred miles pulling the stock trailer or the flat trailer and then the rest being normal trips by my wife to town and such.
