Im sure I will get answer across the board on this one. I like wearing usa made boots and ones that are resoleable.
I have worn timberlands, rockys, wolverines, Keens, Red wings all of which have not held up to my job. The soles come off the leather tears in the toe area. Im currently wearing a pair of Chippiwas 8'' steel toe boots. They are nice boots and the leather is very high quality full grain from what I can tell.

Does anyone one here have any experiance with Whites boots or Wessco boots? From my reasearch they are the toughest boot money can but and are completle rebuildable.

They are not cheap but if they hold to their claim of being comfortable and durable I would give them a try.

The only boot I ever really liked was the "Georgia" brand. I cannot find them around here anymore. Right now I am wearing "Ariens (sp?)" and they are OK but are not very comfortable. These are slip-on boots, not lace up.

I have a pair of White's Outdoorsman's (lace to toe) 3 year's old now, and still in great condition. They are 10" boots and are very heavy. I do not wear them every day, because of the weight, they are made super tough. I myself don't like tall heal's that's why I got the Outdoorsman. I also have a pair of Carolina #309 that are made in the USA and I like them very well. They are a 6" boot and are holding up very well after about 4 month's. You will not go wrong with the White's but it take's a while to get them. Good luck!!
Regards, JOHN

If that's the boot you're buying here is the place to buy them ,Charm Harness and Boot in Charm ,Ohio. I've bought several pairs of shoes for myself and family , always the cheapest price around, treated fairly never any questions if we had a problem with shoes for the grandkids , wife or myself.
Though I had there phone # could not locate it , but I know they have a phone , they are in Amish country. Sells just about any brand , I know Red Wing because that is what I'm wearing for my work shoes.

My Danner and Chippewa boots (both made in USA) are too expensive and too nice to wear in the dirt and grease. So I just wear them for dress up and on Sunday's. For dirty work I wear Georgia and Rocky (good boots...not USA made) in several configurations. Danner says they will rebuild their boots if requested.

Used to wear Chippewa when I was in construction. Would routinely rub them with boot oil in the beginning until they turned into the softest, most comfortable leather imaginable. If I didn't oil them, the would go through wet-dry cycles and crack wide open.

I have had justin I'm currently wearing redwing. The justins lasted a long time.Justins were American made & so are the redwings. I buy American when I have the option in hopes it will keep some jobs here. I have never bought Chinese boots

Justine just don't fit me right. I quit Justin years ago then last year bought a pair at Academy.Like this but not steel toe:
Joes Boots JUSTIN CREPE SOLE--CREAM COLOR--#WK4909 STEEL TOE-----$134.95

They were so comfortablecwhen I tried them on but after wearing them they pinch in all the wrong places. I still can wear them but if I have to do hard work i avoid it.

Red Wings and Lucchese are my work and dress boot brands.

Some might not consider these 'work boots' but they work for me in lightercduty applications and are extremely comfortable.

For dress I like lucchese and Dan post, they are very comfortable, especially in smooth ostrich.
I used to go to cavenders for my work boots and the guy always pushed wolverines on me. Then I tried the Justins one day and they felt much better. Those 2 brands are the only ones I have used.

I can sure see why anybody would like those Justins. I think it might help if I put some sole inserts in. Plan to do that.

I got my first pair of Redwings as a kid at about 10 years old. They were black lace ups and even then I could tell they were well made, quality boots. Don't recall what they cost exactly but remember it was a lot more than I thought my Dad would spend on boots for a kid. I was really surprised to get them. I couldn't wear them enough and never wore them out. They went to my brother who was two years younger and a lot harder on boots. He finally did wear them out.

I've been a fan of Redwings for work boots ever since that first pair.
