HST Fluid Level after changing.

If I read it correctly, and remember correctly, the manual recommends just replacing the HST filter at 50 hrs on my B2620. Did you all just decided to drain the whole thing? Just wondering. Cheers Mike

When I was at my dealer (Acme) I asked the same question for my B2620.
They called Kubota and within 30 minutes Kubota sent to the dealer a fax with revised maintainance intervals and the fax intervals showed replace HST oil at 50 hrs.

ps: and if you don't change the hst oil your warrenty is void and the Deathstar will destroy your tractor if caught in the open. jk

When I did my 50 hr change I refilled the hyd oil containers with the old oil to ensure I didn't over fill. This takes time but you then know how much came out!

This works for me on my HST B7800. Can't see the oil on the dipstick very well so it gives me a reference point.

My 'spec' volume was way over the actual amount needed on the BX24, also. Still have the containers of 'excess' I had to siphon out, to get a proper reading. Next time I'll measure the old stuff first, then refill to that amount. Good thought for the future.

You know, another thought is that some of the HST Kubota models have a suction screen type thing that nees to be cleaned. Since it screws into the transmission case I wonder how much fluid comes out after it's removed?

Who told you your warranty is void?

There is a big difference between a fluid system's capacity and how much it takes to refill it after a fluid change...about 3qts in your case. It helps to track the drained volume to some reasonable degree, then match that going in. Other than that, make sure you fill short quite a bit the first time you do this...then add and adjust. Record for future use...

All of it.:thumbsup:It is at the bottom of the transmission sump.
