sweettractors,

Ouch...is that a 2013 or 2012 model??? I looked at these in September and they had a MSRP of $6399.

2012 is $6899 MSRP(no inbound or outbound shipping) 2013 is $7249 MSRP (no inbound or outbound shipping)

Wow...I guess my local dealer's "best deal" on a 2012 Dixon DX152of $6391 cash sale 'out-the-door' was a very low price(and probably explains why I didn't get any response when I counter-offered $6150). I'm still glad I went with the 2012 Gravely Pro-Turn 152 XDZ(I got it for $1,000 off the MSRP and they've gone up another $300 for 2013), but the Dixon was my 2nd choice overall.

Looking at end of season Zero Turn Mowers vs waiting for 2013 models

3.5 acre approx 1/2 ish to cut lots of Oak trees

Tried 48 inch Exmark and 60 inch Yazoo

Local dealer has a few 2012 Gravelys left

Looking at ZT HD 52 Dealer stated list price $5700 would sell it for $4900 2012 - price increase from 2011 to 2012 was 2 %

Good mower?

Good price?

Options ?

Different blades?
Seat?

Any knowledge of changes to 2013 Gravelys?

I was an Exmark dealer for over 10 years, it is a very good piece of equipment. I no longer sell Exmark, dropped them in 2003 due to disagreement in business ideas, and I had Gravely on the floor back then, and Gravely was kicking their butts anyway. The Gravely 991083 (ZT52HD) is an excellent mower with an excellent warranty, and that dealer is giving you an excellent price. I sell the ZT52HD for $5199 all year long in Louisiana, but of course we do not get any left over stock as our inventory turns drastically. Do not know if the dealer offered you any financing, but that you can also get 48 months interest free on that unit. It is superior to many of it's competitors including Toro, Dixon, Dixie Chopper, Exmark, in that price range.

neilssmallengine,
I couldn't agree with you more!! I pulled the trigger on the Gravely Pro-Turn 152 XDZ and have never looked back. As I stated earlier in this thread the Dixon DX152 was in my final choices, but I don't think I would have been as happy with that Husqvarna product(although Husqvarna makes decent equipment) as I am with my Gravely. I made offers on a Hustler Fastrak Super Duty and Bad Boy Outlaw as well, but just like you said none of these other mowers had the overall build, warranty and quality components for a fair price like the Gravely. IMHO, it's one of the best bangs for your buck in the ZTR market today(even with some of the models seeing a price increase for 2013).
