Cats killing billions of animals??

Why would there be jokes? My cat has his own personality, and he actually is a great companion. He follows me everywhere, just can't get him to ride on the Massey.

I loved our cats, but, as said before, they were pretty much house cats (declawed, shots, keepein' an eye on 'em). Great companions, all. Nice to have some happy company at 4:00 a.m. with your coffee.

FWIW...chipmunks/ground squirrels are hoarders...(they store stuff) they rarely if ever hoard stuff where they can not return to it...chances are if you see a ground squirrel around a vehicle it is because they smell food mice etc have left there...
Doesn't matter whether it's mice, or chipmunks. Both are highly destuctive to wiring in vehicles of any type.

Those fvks are dead from now on...our heal-nipper dogs aren't gettin' the job done. Dammmmit.

not enough of them...

*irresponsible* cat owners are low life slackers and most are hypocrites (if you ask them how they feel about nature and invading species)

I disagree.... most are your grandmother types. We've got several sweet old bats with a dozen filthy cats each in our neighborhood. They think they are doing the cats a favor by letting them roam free, when, in fact, their cats, even though well fed, spread disease amongst themselves and kill countless animals that they do not eat.

Cats don't kill birds. People kill birds.

I built a pond with a 100 ft. stream and waterfall and a huge flower garden about 9 years ago. Within 2 years the chipmunk and mouse population increased by a factor of 100(at least). My neighbor was out with his 22 trying to kill them, but he couldn't keep up. Those rascals chewed up the wiring on 2 of my cars, and chewed holes in the liner in my stream.

After my cats matured a little, the population decreased drastically. My neighbor thanked me for getting the cats.

But now /pine hates me.:bawling:

That seems somewhat contradictory but I do see your point..."low life slackers" was probably over the top...but IMO "thinking" they are doing the cats a favor makes them irresponsible...

don't cry...

I don't hate anyone...life's too short...I respect everyone's right to their own opinions...

your opinion against native fauna is not that far removed from how (we) white men dealt with those that were here before us...

My opinion isn't against all fauna, but we did have an overpopulation problem of some species(which can cause major problems), and we are getting to an overpopulation problem again.

And what is causing the overpopulation problem?...in most cases the natural predators have declined...(because of non-native intervention)...see the picture yet?

I doubt that my cat caused a decline in the Bobcat population(which would be a natural predator to the chipmunk), and I doubt that my cat has anything to do with a decline in the blacksnake population either. But if you want to blame my cat for that, it's your perogative( I guess).
