Cats killing billions of animals??

How 'bout squirrels? Just another nuisance we learn to deal with, minus the companionship (mostly :laughing: , I'm sure they're plenty of squirrel lovers on the planet...and not just the hungry-type. ).

You can't be serious...?...granted there have been some coyote attacks on small children (due mostly to careless parents) but humans (**** sapiens) have never been "preyed" on by coyotes...

FWIW.. hawks are the biggest predators on ground squirrels around here...(as long I have ammo for the cats)

I was dead serious. It happened before, back in the 30's I believe. The coyotes ate most all the wildlife, started on livestock, took out toddlers. The farmers put strychnine in sheep and goat carcasses and thru them in the fields for the coyotes. That led to the death of crows, and other scavengers.

And now it's happening again in Illinois, coyotes are taking out dogs and cats. It was all over the radio when I was out there a few months ago. Wls in chicago.

Even squirrels etc. have disagreements...most have split ears etc....

believe it or not you can learn a lot about life in general just by observing the actions of social animals...

American Indians (so called "native") held great respect for any animal that stand on two legs...regardless of their size/status in the animal kingdom...observe them and you will see why...!

As with any predator, once a coyote figures out that people are a generally "soft target" it will focus on humans until it is persuaded to do otherwise (which generally involves high velocity lead poisoning).

My wife and I were "irresponsible owners" with 10 cats and five bird feeders. I like cats but but not other small animals so it works out well for me. I also don't like people who pin labels on other people. Too bad they are too big for cats to eat.
