Big day to miss. Best I can recall, lesson plans called for:

Circle of life
Birds and the bees
....um...some other evolutionary topic after lunch...maybe somebody who didn't take a nap could remind me:anyone:
Anyway, next day the teacher wanted to know where Darwin went...seems he galloped off the island into the sea ...at least that's the theory I heard:dove::bumblebee::chimpanzee::garfield::reading::number1:

John, all it was, was a viewing of Lion King, you know, the way things are in the real world with out "human intervention"

Western, thanks, now I know......."the rest of the story!"

Jinman, do you suppose it would help if you pointed her to the hantavirus thread here on TBN?? Rats for sure, and maybe voles, carry the virus...kills people in 2 days.

We don't have a cat problem around here. They come to the bird feeder occasionally, but unless they're inside their life expectancy is a few days to a few weeks as outdoor cats. There are a number of predators that seem to like cats around here: owls, coyotes, fishers, foxes and bobcats. Our cat stays strictly inside. Sadly when new folks move to the neighborhood and have outdoor cats we warn them, but so far 3 have had their cats disappear after less than 48 hours.

Never really liked cats growning up.About 2 years ago a stray female showed up at the back door I started to feed her and thought after a few weeks she sure is looking FAT.Low and behold she had 2 kittens about a month later.Fast forward the now outside three cats are **** on mice and chipmunks. We had all 3 neutered so no more kittens.I am growing fond of them now heck one of them goes on the wifes and I daily walk together acts more like a dog than cat.LOL,coobie.

Wow, now that's a friendly cat. My experience is they are amazingly aloof and won't give you the time of day unless they want something.
But if they are a mouser, all is forgiven. Until they eat their first bird, and boy do I have a problem with that, regardless of how "natural" it is.

Now I believe in barn cats but what would anyone want one of them in their house for ? All the hair and who enjoys cleaning a cat box ? All our animals belong outside period !we take very good care of our animals and they have heat during the cold snaps but outside my house !

Now Grumpy, give a little fuzzball white kitty to a six year old girl and tell me you won't smile at the delight you see...
Growing up, all our dogs were outside. Honestly, I wouldn't own a dog if I had to walk it and pick up its poop.
Changing kitty litter boxes is tolerable, but a mess. But if you love your pet, you do what you have to do.
Like you, I choose not to have them inside.

And I have friends with two 130 pound mastiffs that sleep at the bottom of their bed, on TOP of the bed.
I think they are utterly nuts, but hey, it's their bed.

pet shops sell litter box you place on the toilet seat, once the cat is used to it you remove it and the cat just does its business and you have splash down. I have seen one on utube that even flushes afterward lol. Trouble was he flushed it 20 times cause he liked to touch the whirlpool with its paw....hello water bill

I saw that! what a funny story, the silly cat was mesmerized by the water flushing, and just flushed the toilet all day long to amuse himself. Too funny.
Another reason to lower the toilet seat guys...

Similar here. Our cat greets us when we get home along with the dog, follows us around and fights with the dog to get pet. Pretty funny really. When we got him he was stray and someone was going to shoot him for eating birds.
