Comparing 5055e to 4000 series compacts

Get yourself a full sized Utility tractor unless you plan on moving the tractor allot by trailer and will never do any tillage. In my opinion anything over 40 horsepower a person should be looking at a real farm tractor. Yes the compacts are capable of allot but I see things breaking on them no matter what the brand that you don't see happining on a full size tractor. There more for mowing and light duty task. I cannot believe what they charge for those little machines and people pay it. I see people all the time trying to use a compact as if it is a full size farm tractor. I have a 5055E and it so far is a good machine. It is the same machine all the way up to 5075E except horsepower,

553 FEL with global carrier and HD bucket. Frontier 1276 disc harrow. Also getting a Bush Hog 1296. Additionally getting the 16.9 inch rear tires vs the std 14.9 rears

I don't know about the tires. They have them matched to the horsepower and how a wider size then their standard will work escapes me. How about the second set of rear hose couplers and third function plumbing on the loader?

I am not planning on getting another rear valve but the tractor comes with one rear and the 2 mid valves for loader. I am not getting a grapple or 4 in 1 bucket so I won't need the 3rd function on loader. Do you have a need for 3rd function on loader (grapple or 4 in 1)?

I'm using the second rear to run the third function on the loader. Right now it is running the power angle on my snow plow but I got it thinking ahead about using bale tongs or a grapple on the loader or some rear implement that had two functions. A lot of tractors have three on the back and the equipment designers are designing machinery that takes advantage of the capability. You can add it later if you find the need I just wanted it at todays price with the zero percent financing.
Things I bought that I might not buy again are the block heater and the wheel spacers on the rear. The tractor comes with an air intake heater which serves the same function as glow plugs and works like a charm making the block heater unnecessary unless you live in Alaska. The wheel spacers are a case of too much of a good thing and just setting your tires out to position eight is plenty wide enough unless you mow highway slopes all day. With my land and it's steep slopes they were not a mistake as far as safety is concerned but it does make you need a nine foot plow to clear wider then the rear tread.
Things I added on after the fact were the canopy and the soft cab and a set of ice chains and I'm looking for a good set of used 3PH harrows to go with the two bottom plow I already have.

Could you post a picture with the soft cab and how much it costs? Kinda interested in that.

I bought the canopy through covermytractor .com along with the soft cab. Both together with shipping were just under $1800. One cold winter drive with wet clothes on and it was paid for.

Thanks for the pics and info. That front grill looks good, was thinking about something like that. You make it?
