I am getting read to fix a beef stir fry for tonight...but ground chuck and bacon sounds great...I was watching Diners Drive Inns and Dives and they showed a place where the cook took bacon and cut it into 1/2 inch pieces then pattied out his burger then pressed the cut up bacon onto both sides of the peppered and salted burger 80/20...then fried it on a flat grill...wow did that look good....I haven't tried it yet....:licking:

Sorry, all I can think of now is poor ol Dan Quayle standing in front of a chalk board! :)

I love potatoes too. Any hints on how to grow them in our gawd awful yellow clay? I'm thinking about tilling in some sand and grass clippings this year. Does anyone think that's a good idea? Nothing grows well under ground here. Carrot, beets, onions etc. never do well.

Kevin
After reading your post, I thought about your Family's new addition last year. How is everyone doing? Hopefully I am correct that you had a baby last year.

Well I am stunned....It will take me some time to get over this....So you have changed your menu for dinner tonight after announcing it on TBN.....? I don't think that is allowed....I think once you have posted a menu Muhammad forces you to eat that.....or else...You might want to PM him and see...I'm not really sure..:D

I would water them down and hope for the best. I have had potatoes up six or eight inches and get nipped pretty good; the tops die and they continue to grow. I'm betting even with a hard freeze, the bulk of your plants will survive. My good Irish friend, Bob McGough, advised me that potatoes should be planted on St. Patrick's day for the best crop; I was never quite that disciplined though.

Pic is my taters last year. There was no coming back from that freeze!
