Need info for 3-pt on a 990

Actually, the Ford 8N was able to handle a Funk V8 conversion with pretty much the same rear hardware as the 9N, so I would NOT count on them only lasting 30 minutes. I have had three 8N's here and let's just saythey were STELLAR performers with ALL the demands I paced on them, and they were extensive. YMMV, IMHO.

Edit to add: From looking a parts diagram it looks like you have the older style turnbuckles on the sway chains.

Rob, thanks for taking the time to get those photos and post them. Very helpful.

It looks like the lift link attachment is just off the midpoint of the draft links, away from the tractor end, maybe 3/4"?

Any idea what the other hole in the draft links are for -- the one between the lift link and tractor end?

I have no idea apart from the fact that the hole looks the same size as the hole used for the sway chain. Maybe JD uses these draft links for another tractor where the sway chains hook into that hole or maybe if you wanted to use that hole instead you could. Other than that I have no other idea since the drawings do not specify anything regarding this extra hole.
