Kioti DK SE Series Vertical Exhaust

I have not chimed in about the air intake issues because, well, I don't have that problem. Maybe since I have an open station I should put the stack close, so when I cannot feel my fingers anymore I can just put them in front of the stack for some heat.:D

David that's a pretty good idea but one that can be improved on. Just run the exhaust under the seat. That way you'll choke faster but you'll go out warm

Ken I'm having a hard time believing that Kioti with four intakes got four cabin filters BUT I guess someone will soon chime in and set the topic straight. I suspect that if they have a filter at all there will be one central one. That being said I just removed my cabin filter to show everyone how it looks. It's a 3 minute change over.

No IF I were YOU and was concerned about the fumes I'd just go three inches higher with the stack and let it exhaust over the cab. Maybe even use a flap on it instead of a curved stack. Problem would be solved. :confused3:

I'm going to have to check that out. It would make more sense to have one central air filter. I'll admit I want this to look good and a flapper just doesn't do it for me. I'm not sure extending the pipe above the cab is going to look great either.

David, forget a hand warmer. Weld a metal cup holder on the side for your coffee and a vertical hot dog roaster. You could finish the meal by roasting some marshmellows. Lunch with dessert without moving from the seat and loosing any productivity

Ken don't loose focus here. What's your goal? Lets prioritize what your intending to do.

#1. Prevent soot from getting on the FEl
#2. Wanting it to look good.
#3. All of the above.

Giving the info I've seen on the Kioti you just might have to compromise or leave it as it sits now. There are times that there's only one choice :confused3:.

Don't tell him that. I was going to let him build a prototype and then ship to me, so I could demonstrate to him what his setup would look like on an open station tractor. I would even do it for free, as long as I can keep the prototype version.

Well, there are 4 individual filters, hope they're cheap. Not much in the manual about the, but I ojly had a minute to look.

OK, here's the first couple of tries. Try them out and tell me which one you prefer.

Oh man that's a hard choice to make. Id say #2 because I think that's an actual Kioti isn't it? :D Yep that's the one. send that one to David

Four filters! I checked the price of the Kubota one today and it came in at $46.00
