Washing, polishing and waxing a L570 is a pain in the rear

Me too. I blow the dust off the baler and tractor every day during hay season and wash the dirt off the floor a couple of times a year but wax? No way.

City tractor? Who you calling city tractor? My tractor lives on a farm and works and almost pays her own way. In return, I shine her up every now and then. ain't ashamed.

I Like It.....I wash and wax my Deere often. Especailly in the Fall before the snow falls. It helps keep the snow from sticking to the tractor. That way I have less water to squeegee out of the when the snow melts. It also helps protect the blower....and **** if it doesn't look good when it is all fluffed and buffed!

I 'used' to wash and wax now I just wash. The bucket, FEL arms, and BH all need a new coat of paint now. I guess that is what a few hundred hours of use does to the tractor.

How we view washing ad waxing is often dependent on how we view our tractors. Growing up with them, they were just pieces of machinery, maintenance was important, but there simply was no time or energy left to worry about appearance after 10+ hours in the seat every day with more chores waiting when that was done.
Many owners now view them as toys or use them as a hobby with no set deadlines or money dependent on their use and have spare time.
I no longer make money with mine and have spare time, but in the summer when I am in the seat a lot often day after day, I really don't want much to do with them after maintenance. If I clean one up, it will look no different in a few days. Washing ad waxing is simply an alien concept to me, but if you are inclined to do so then go for it and I am sure your tractor will be worth more than mine in ten or twenty years, but I can live with that.
I think if my farmer neighbors or renters ever caught me washing/waxing my tractors I would have to move back into town.
