Roger check the chemical makeup of your enamel paint from the Kub Dealer. MOST of the standard Enamels can use a standard hardener additive. take the can into the local TSC store and compare the chemical makeup to their store line. Also the stuff they have tor tractor/implement paint at TSC is actually pretty good and very reasonable. I'll include a pic of my Dump Trailer I built in 02 and painted it over bare WELL PHOSPHATE treated steel. It has very little rust and has hauled probably 200" ton of wet creek scraped up gravel. It has rust in the bed where dumping scraped off the paint and wood/wood chips sat in it keeping it too wet letting it rust.

I MAY even sand down the bed & give it a 2nd coat of paint this year if I'm still off work as it would be a cheap repair/fix.

Isocyanate fumes will go thru most charcoal filters. The only approved way of paint with it is supplied air. i was an aircraft painter for an airline for 2 years. Even in a booth with moving, filtered air we had to wear supplied air. Most of the paint we used was polyurethane and epoxy from PPG and Akzo Nobel.. out in the Heavy Maint. hanger we could not spray. We used rollers and brushes...and had large 3 ft fans blowing when we were painting in the fuselage.
Plus, when we applied Corrosion preventative coatings, That stuff we used was nasty, Worse than the Paint...

You may want to weld some mesh on the back of your grapple to protect your tractor when ramming into brush.

Sorry, but false. Eventually all organics will breakthrough a carbon cartridge when saturated. They all have different rates that it happens at. The real problem with isocyanates is that you can't smell them very well, so the risk is you get exposed without knowing it. Technical term is "poor warning properties" - it is toxic in lower concentrations than you can smell it. That is why supplied air is required. It is nasty stuff, but exposure amount matters a lot.

A lot of hardeners for enamels are isocyanate, too. The concentration is low enough that a carbon cartridge is ok for home use (short exposures with good ventilation), but that would not pass muster industrially. For full 2k urethanes, I would think long and hard before using a carbon cartridge...

Nothing is ever as simple as it seems....

I know I have some TSC valspar paint, and maybe some hardner. I know I have some other stuff like some limco. I have not checked any of it yet.

I was thinking about adding some expanded metal to the grill guard on the tractor.

Do it! If you do any brush work, it will payback big-time! 3/4" x #9 exoanwd, flattened is commonly found and a good size. Far easier to weld in with a mig or even tig over stick.

Something like that would defiantly get migged.

Doing a little work on the grapple and I took a pic with my thermal imaging camera.

The tines are completely welded to the pipe.

Some of Toothed Gussets are ready to be tacked.

Now they are all welded on, I still need to knock some slag off of the welds.

It is looking more like a grapple all the time.
